Animal Tracks Stamps
The Animal Tracking Blocks are an interesting and unique way to learn animal tracks here in New York in a hands-on playful manner. In partnership with Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center, the blocks are intended to get kids at summer programs and park users interested in the natural world around them, promoting environmental stewardship and ecological literacy in Rensselaer County.
While the blocks are a useful educational tool, their size and shape makes them difficult for children to grip with one hand. This redesign improved the grip, allowing the blocks to be easier to hold for the intended user group: little kids. The redesigned grip would also allow people with fine motor issues or arthritis to better utilize the stamps as well.
